Dr. Sameerali Paravath is a highly qualified Orthopaedic surgeon, with an impressive list of credentials. He obtained his MBBS degree from Kannur University, and went on to complete his D.ortho and MS ortho (Gold Medalist) from Kerala University. He further honed his skills with fellowships in Arthroplasty from Asklepios, Germany and Lancaster General.
Currently, Dr. Sameerali is a consultant Joint Replacement and Arthroscopic surgeon at Meitra Hospital Calicut, a position he has held since 2017. Prior to this, he worked at Star Care Hospital Calicut and Baby Memorial Hospital Calicut from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Sameerali has a particular interest in computer-assisted surgery and is an expert in robotic arthroplasty surgery for knee replacement. His field of interest also includes primary and revision hip, shoulder, and knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, as well as shoulder, knee, ankle, and hip arthroscopy. Dr. Sameerali's experience in arthroplasty is extensive, having performed more than 1000 primary total knee replacements, over 35 revision total knee replacements, more than 200 total hip replacements, and more than 20 revision total hip replacements. He is also one of the first surgeons in North Kerala and the second surgeon in the Kerala state to perform reverse total shoulder replacement. Additionally, he has performed two total shoulder replacements and one total ankle replacement. Dr. Sameerali's expertise in arthroscopy is also noteworthy, having performed ACL, PCL, MPFL, and PLC reconstructions, Bankarts, SLAP, and rotator cuff repairs, as well as ankle and wrist arthroscopies. His vast experience and dedication to innovative surgical techniques make him a leading figure in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery.
